The Meditation Types

Types of meditation

Using meditation you can employ the connection between the mind and the body to achieve specific developmental goals. Meditation is particularly good in reducing the stress that you encounter and develop in everyday life. When you decide to make meditation a regular part of your life, you need to decide which type of meditation technique and or philosophy best suits you. If you wish to learn more about Transcendental Meditation then check this page.

How you mediate can mean the difference between trying to become detached from your stress or from trying to build on the problems that are stressing you to form the basis of personal growth, often in a creative way.

There are many types of meditation, some ancient, some newer, each with its own, different style. Meditation teachers classify meditation as focusing on four different ways:

Focused on Concentration - this means basically focusing your attention on one object only. Totally concentrating on it. For example, concentrating on the flame of a candle, or simply focusing on your breath. See my Concentration example
Focused on Generation (generative meditation). This type of meditation helps you meditate to achieve a state of loving kindness by using your memory, your imagination and the sensations of your body.
Focused on Receptivity (receptive meditation). This means basically becoming receptive to any experience arising. An example of this is the zen meditation, zazen.
Focused on Reflection (reflective meditation). This meditation type involves constantly focusing on an object, but also being aware to whatever emotions, feelings and sensations come forth from the experience.

Meditation final step learning meditation

the FINAL, the last, the SIXTH step. In this step you breathe out peace and happiness, goodwill and bliss to all. May all be happy and full of peace and bliss. Think of all who dwell in the Northern lands and pray in the heart within: “may all who dwell in the Northern lands be happy and full of peace and bliss.” Then think of all who dwell in the Southern lands and offer the prayer “may all who dwell in the Southern lands be happy and full of peace and bliss.” Likewise, “may all who dwell in Eastern lands and all who dwell in Western lands, may they all be happy and full of peace and bliss.” Breathe out peace and goodwill to all. May all be happy and full of peace and bliss. All living things whether they be near or far, tall or tiny, rich or poor, educated or illiterate, whether they be born or are still in the womb unborn, may all, all, all be happy and full of peace and bliss. May those that love and those that for some reason or the other are unable to love you, may those that speak well of you, and those that for some reason or the other are unable to speak well of you, may all, all, all, without exception, be happy and full of peace and bliss. You are in them all. It is only when they become happy that you are happy. May all be free from disease, ignorance, sorrow. As you get up from this meditation, you will find that you yourself are happy and full of peace and bliss.

And now if you are ready, we shall begin with the meditation. Sit in a relaxed posture; as far as possible, the back, the neck and the head should be in a straight line. In the beginning you may find it difficult to bring them all in a straight line but do it as far as possible. Above all, be relaxed. Relax your body. Relax your muscles. Relax your limbs and now let us embark on this interior journey, a journey that takes us within, a journey that in due course may change our lives and fill us with tranquillity, with peace and bliss and make us instruments of GOD’S help and healing in this world of suffering and pain.

steps of meditation 6th step

Meditation 5th step

The FIFTH is meditation on your immortality. In the fourth step you have realized that you are not merely in your physical body. You are in all that is, in the experience that we call death. It is the body that drops down, the physical body. But you will continue to be, even when the body has dropped down, you will continue to be in every grain of sand, in every drop of water, in every ray of sunshine. Death cannot touch you. You are immortal. If you are at one with all humanity, then even if there is one human being alive, you are alive. If you are at one with all living creatures, then even if there is but one creature breathing the breath of life, you are alive. Yes, you are immortal, immutable, eternal, deathless!

Meditation third and forth Step

Third Step

Then we come to the THIRD step. The third step is the step of serenity, the step of peace. In this third step, you may imagine yourself as a rock in the midst of an ocean. Waves arise. They dash against the rock. The rock is unaffected, is calm, tranquil, peaceful, serene. Waves arise. Waves are the distracting thoughts. They dash against the rock. The rock is unaffected, calm, tranquil, peaceful, serene.
Fourth step

Then we come to the FOURTH step. It is the step where you realize your oneness with all that is, all men, all creatures, all things, all conditions. You are not apart from others. The others & you are parts of the one great whole. You are in every man, in every woman, in every child. You are in every unit of life, in every bird and animal, in every foul & fish, in every insect, in every shrub, in every plant. You belong to all countries and communities, all races and religions. You are at one with the universe. This type of meditation will fill your heart with loving kindness & a spirit of compassion so that a stage may come when you will not wish to snuff out the life even of the smallest insect.

Meditation Second Step

The SECOND is the step of detached observation. In this step, as an observer you have to watch the movements of the mind. Detach yourself from the mind. This is very, very important. You are not the mind. You are only watching the mind. What is the mind doing? What thoughts is it entertaining? You are not the mind. You are not thinking those thoughts. Just watch the mind. Observe the mind without any judgment, without any criticism. You are but a silent observer; observe without judgment, without criticism. You will find that as you detach yourself from the mind and just keep on watching it, its movements, gradually the mind will cease its activities.

Meidtation step one

Meditaion steps
First Step

This meditation lasts 15 to 20 minutes. It is a meditation of SIX steps. Each step
will take roughly two and half to about three minutes. I will first explain to you
all the steps and then you can start.
The FIRST is the step of rhythmic breathing. Breathe in slowly, easily, evenly, and
deeply and then breathe out slowly, easily, evenly, and deeply. Within three minutes
you should be able to breathe in and out about ten times. But you need not count. I
will do the counting for you. And when the three minutes are over, shall ask you to
move on to the second step. As your breathing becomes rhythmic, your tensions will
relax.

Mediation Experiance

Although a considerable amount of the effects of meditation are reported to be positive, other studies are demonstrating that the case might not always be so. Meditation, if practiced unproperly or too intensely, can lead to considerable psychological and physiological problems. It is not uncommon for teachers of meditation to warn their students about the possible pitfalls of a contemplative path. In the case of Asian contemplative traditions there often exist major challenges connected to the way the particular tradition is to be applied to a Western culture, or a Western mindset. The import of eastern contemplative concepts into popular Western culture has not always been sensitive to, or familiar with the cultural matrix that the meditative concept originated from.

Purpose of Meditation

Meditation purpose

The purposes for which people meditate vary almost as widely as practices. It may serve simply as a means of relaxation from a busy daily routine, or even as a means of gaining insight into the nature of reality or of communing with one's God. Many have found improved concentration, awareness, self-discipline and equanimity through meditation. The disciplined self-cultivation aspect of meditation plays a central role in Taoism, Sikhism, Hinduism and Buddhism. Generally, there is religious meditation, where one meditates to commune with or on the Divine, and focus meditation, where one meditates to improve health or mental faculties. Very often there is significant overlap between these two positions in many meditative traditions.

Muraqba, Meditation

Meditation generally involves discounting wandering thoughts and fantasies, and calming and focusing the mind. Meditation does not necessarily require effort and can be experienced as "just happening". Physical postures include sitting cross-legged, standing, lying down, and walking (sometimes along designated floor patterns). Quietness is often desirable, and some people use repetitive activities such as deep breathing, humming or chanting to help induce a meditative state.
Meditation can be done with the eyes closed (as long as one does not fall asleep), or with the eyes open: focusing the eyes on a certain point of an object or image, and keeping the eyes constantly looking at that point.

Auto-writing
Auto-writing is a form of channeling. Allowing information to be channeled through the hands or in thought form (inspirational writing) from our own higher self. With this form of channeling you can have access to all the knowledge and wisdom of your hearts desire. The ideas come to surface, then viewed in written form. The technique requires the mind to first gently relax and then move slowly from consciousness to an altered state of awareness, a trance state. During this relaxed state, the impressions that form in ones thoughts or the automatic movement that occurs in the hand is generated, and information comes to fruition. All knowledge pours out onto the paper, writing until the final resolution of the questions are answered.

Steps for Automatic Writing:
1. Have a pencil or pen and paper available to write on.
2. Begin by taking in a few deep breaths... and slowly bring your eyes to close.
3. Gently say a prayer of protection, include your white light for protection.
4. Ask only those (spirit guides, angels, etc) of higher frequency and vibration to help you.
5. State a clear question.
6. When you feel ready, slowly begin to open your eyes and begin to write. Allowing any and all information to flow on the paper in front of you.
7. Do not judge or analyze-just let the messages gently stream unto the paper.
8. For your first time, allow about 10-15 minutes, and then continue however long you feel the messages coming. You will know when you are finished.

Astrology reality

Definition of Astrology

Astrology is the study and observations of how events on earth correspond to the positions and movements of astronomical bodies. These astronomical bodies included are the sun, moon, planets and stars. Depending on the position of these bodies at the exact moment of a person's birth, Astrologers believe these bodies and their movements reflect that person's character. The knowledge of the person's character and their relation to the bodies enables astrologers to predict a person's destiny. This prediction is not limited to one person. A prediction could be for an individual, group or nation.

Psycho kinesis Introduction

Psychokinesis

what is Micro-Psychokinesis? What is the difference between doing Micro- Psychokinesis and spinning the Psiwheel? How can Micro-Psychokinesis benefit my daily life? Why should I practice Micro-Psychokinesis in the first place? Micro-Psychokinesis can be defined as the ability to affect probability and outcomes. It is usually described as being more subtle than Macro-Psychokinesis (Psiwheels, etc), and thus may go un-noticed. Micro-Psychokinesis tends to be greatly ignored (at least in most cases), among beginners, but it tends to be easier, because it has been done by you before, and has probably been done by your friends/neighbors. Micro-Psychokinesis may benefit your daily life by helping you win a game of cards, a game of chance, winning the lottery, getting the benefit when flipping a coin, plus any other activity that probability or some sort of random factor is involved. Micro-Psychokinesis generally provides much more use at this stage than Macro-Psychokinesis might, due to its varying applications. You may want to practice Micro-Psychokinesis if you wish to have that "edge" when playing games commonly found at a casino, to greaten your chances of winning lottery or "scratch-offs", or just generally for personal use. It is probably a good idea to identify with yourself why you wish to practice Micro-Psychokinesis(Micro-PK) in the first place, because that should make it easier for you to accomplish your goals.

Telekinesis Steps and Theory

Theory

We all are made up of the same basic matter – energy. Therefore, it is straightforward to assume that energy can be manipulated. Thus, objects can be moved or bent using the power of the mind.

These are abilities that are present in a nascent form within all of us. We all can learn how to get in touch with these capabilities and to use them. All it takes is some amount of concentration and practice.

Here are some exercises for you to try out so as to learn how to get in touch with and develop your psychokinetic abilities:

Telekinetic Energy is Natural

The ability of telekinesis is very natural occurrence and we all have the ability to perform telekinesis it's just a matter of learning the ability. It is primarily a Mind/Brain/Consciousness related phenomenon though certainly its roots are sub-atomic like all manifestations. Some research shows there is a lot of activity in the cortex of the brain in relationship to this. Most of what we term psychic phenomenon or mystical happenings happen in the "off" phases of consciousness.

Consciousness is always in the on/off phasing, blinking off and on, as it were. Off/On phasing phenomenon is photon related manifestation of energy and light. The energy we are dealing with here is tiny pockets or "quanta" of energies. The ability to bend spoons, levitate is happening at the other levels being only manifested as a physical event upon the space/time shell frame which we interpret as our reality. There is also a good deal of illusion as well. One must be able to discern the reality of both. Sometimes there is a vast difference in what we THINK we see vs what IS actually happening.

Telekinesis
Introduction

The truth of the matter is anyone can
learn telekinesis. In fact, you already have telekinetic abilities, but they are laying dormant in the vast majority of people and they can be brought to the surface which is what this article is about.

First however, let's look at what telekinesis is all about. Unlike the movies and the comic books, you will not find anyone capable of tossing cars around like toys or lifting a couple of building before breakfast just to keep in practice. But telekinesis is a very real ability that is slowly but surely starting to awaken in people around the world.

Telekinesis is the ability to move objects with the power of your mind. You do not have to use your physical strength, you are using mental strength instead. This means persons with physical disabilities can learn telekinesis just as easily as the worlds greatest athlete. In fact, physical handicaps could actually give you an advantage in learning telekinesis because many people with physical handicaps tend to have better concentration.

Concentration is of the utmost importance for anyone trying to learn telekinesisand the deeper you can concentrate, the faster you can develop your telekinetic abilities. So spend time developing your ability to concentrate before you start trying to do telekinesis.

Always start your concentration exercises by finding a quiet, relaxing place to work. You want some place comfortable, but most people do better if they do not lay down, especially if you have a tendency to fall asleep easily. Take a few deep breathes and let all thoughts and tensions release from your body. When you are ready, find a sport on a wall or a small item on a shelf.

Simple steps to learn telepathy Compare steps with others

Practicing to learn telepathy consists of eight specific step exercise. Using these eight steps in this exercise to properly improve your telepathic skills is a great method to really learn telepathy.

  1. The first step to telepathy is be present. Being present is the hardest and most important key to telepathy. You should not think of anything else. Your mind should be completely in the now or the present. This opens up the channels to connect energy frequencies.

  2. The second step to this exercise which enables you to properly learn telepathy is to sit down with the person you want to connect with. Lay several different colored pencils between the two of you.

  3. The third step of this exercise is to decide who will be the sender and who will be the receiver.

  4. Once that is decided than you can go on to the fourth step. This step involves the person who is the sender to select a color from among the colored pencils in their mind. Then the sender should try to send the color they selected to the other person. It is important for the person who is the sender to say the word start out loud once they've concentrated on sending the color to the other person.

  5. The fifth step of the exercise is to have the person who is the receiver to look into the mind of the other person. They should be able to pick up on the correct color.

  6. During the sixth step of the exercise the sender should tell whether or not the receiver has saw the correct color. If the person was incorrect than the sender should try again and say the word start again.

  7. The seventh step of the exercise is the sender sending the original color again or starting the exercise again with a new color in mind.

  8. The eight step of the exercise is to switch sides and repeat the exercise over again non-stop for the next ten minutes

Initial Steps for Learning telepathy

Initial Steps for telepathy learners

  • Sit across from each other at a table or on the floor (maybe the floor is better so you can see the whole person). Then have one person be the sender, and the other person be the receiver.
  • Then you need to decide what will be sent, like the number of the card, the colour of the card, or perhaps whether or not the card is royalty or not. Whatever you decide doesn’t really matter, as long as both people know what is being sent/received.
  • Now, the sender will take a card from the top of the deck without showing the receiver, and look at the card with their full attention, really absorbing the information as best they can. Whilst remaining calm, the sender should then look directly into the eyes of the receiver.
  • Upon the moment of eye contact with the sender, the receiver will often get an impression of the card the sender is holding. Then the receiver should tell the sender their impression. Remember not to rush… Then repeat this process over and over and ove
secondry important points are
  1. Sender And Receiver
We will need two people. One will be the Sender, who will attempt to transmit thoughts; the other will be the Receiver, who will attempt to receive the thoughts transmitted by the Sender. Prior to the experiment, decide clearly if you are going to be the Sender or the Receiver. If you don't, you both might end up being Receivers or Senders! Avoid that confusion. For this article, we will assume that you are the Sender.

  2. Belief
First of all, it is very important that the Sender and the Receiver both believe that Telepathy is possible. Even if the belief is not 100%, an open-minded attitude is a must. In fact, it is best if the participants not only believe in Telepathy, but also actually deeply desire it to occur. If you are a skeptic, and if the doors of your mind are closed, you will get very poor results.

  3. Physical Relaxation
Telepathy is most effective when the Sender and the Receiver are both totally relaxed physically. Also, being in positive health makes you concentrate better. Try not to practice when you are unwell. Relax yourself using any relaxation method you find best. You can either breathe deeply a couple of times, or use the progressive relaxation method.

  4. Mental Relaxation
Clear your mind of unwanted thoughts. Make your mind tranquil. Let thoughts come and go, but don't get attached to them. Focus on your purpose. Since you are the Sender, your focus will be to send your thoughts across. Your partner, the Receiver should focus his mind to be receptive to your thoughts.

Make sure that both of you do not have any distractions around. A disturbed environment will be detrimental to your progress. A calm and quiet environment will give maximum results

  5. Visualization
Before beginning the transmission, it is important that the previous steps are well followed. They will set up the foundation for your success. With your eyes shut, visualize a very clear picture of the Receiver. Imagine that he is a few feet away from you. Visualize him in full color. Feel that he is actually there. If you want, you can even look at a colored picture of him before the experiment. This will help you visualize him properly.

Now imagine a silver tube connecting your mind and his mind. This tube is the channel through which your thoughts would be communicated to him. Visualize this tube to be full of energy. Know in your heart that this tube is very effective and will do the job well.

Please note that visualizing the tube is not a must. It is just a very effective aid to help you focus and gives your thoughts a well-defined direction. Instead of this tube, you can even visualize that you are talking to your friend over the telephone.

  6. Transmission
Now imagine that your thoughts are being transmitted through the tube - from your mind to his mind. If you are thinking of transmitting a mental picture of an apple, visualize a bright, red, juicy apple traveling across our tube. Make the picture as vivid as possible. Charge the apple with emotion. Believe that Telepathy is real. Desire that your thoughts reach your friend. Imagine the feeling you will have when you succeed. This is very crucial. Emotions are a very powerful trigger and give excellent results. Very often, Telepathy experiments fail because the thoughts lack emotional charge. Make sure you do not strain yourself to send the thought. You have to be relaxed and composed.

  7. When to stop/pause
While you are sending your thoughts, there will be a moment when you will have a strong feeling that the thought has been transmitted. This is an unmistakable feeling that cannot be faked. Whenever you get such a feeling, the job is done. This might take a few seconds to several minutes. If even after 15 minutes, you do not get this feeling, you can abandon the experiment and try at a later date. Trying further will not help much because your mind would be exhausted.

  8. The Receiver
Throughout the experiment, the Receiver should keep his mind blank and should try to receive the thoughts being sent by you. He should avoid trying too hard. Forcing himself to sense what you are thinking will sabotage your attempts. His mind will be most receptive when he is relaxed and at ease. He will get several impressions coming to his mind. He should keep a pen and paper next to him, and note down whatever thoughts come to his mind. He will probably feel that he is making things up. But that's ok. This is how Telepathy works.

  9. Compared results
Once you are through with your experiments, compare your results. Check all the impressions that the Receiver has written down. Does it contain the thought that you tried to transmit? The more you practice, the more accurate results you will get.

  10. Repeat experiment
You should then repeat the experiment - either immediately or at a later date. If you have got some success, your confidence would be quite high and you would want to repeat it immediately. But if there was no success, do not get discouraged and try the next day. Regular practice sessions are a must, because only consistency will make you better. You should also alternate between being the Receiver and the Sender. This will tell you what you are better at - Receiving or Sending.

Telepathy a fact

The word "Telepathy" has been derived from the words "tele" meaning "distance" and "pathy" meaning "feeling." So Telepathy actually means getting feelings through a distance. To elaborate, Telepathy is the communication between two minds, separated over a distance, without the use of the five known senses.

There are a lot of things you can do to learn telepathy. It can be both fun and exciting, and of course extremely rewarding when you start to see improvements. Sometimes telepathy is confused for telekinesis or clairvoyance. Telepathy is unique in the sense that it is a skill specifically for sending and receiving thoughts between two people. Sometimes thoughts are sent intentionally, and other times a receiver might “catch” another’s thoughts without them even knowing it!

There are always reasons to why any person should learn telepathy. First of all that it is fun and it usually stretches a person’s awareness and there perspective on the world, helping you to know how much there is in this world without having to see it. One great benefit that you can feel when you learn telepathy is a greater sense of mental clarity. Most of all though, the best part of learning telepathy is that you can learn to trust yourself and your intuition…

Here is an example of what you can do to improve your skills when you learn telepathy. It does require one deck of regular playing cards, and another person to work together with you. If you find that your friends don’t want to try, just tell them that it is for fun. It seems that you can usually get better results when you are doing things like telepathy just for fun!
